Verify your BIMI record, check SVG logo compliance, VMC authority, and DMARC enforcement prerequisites.
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is an email specification that lets domain owners publish a brand logo in DNS. When an email passes DMARC authentication, participating mailbox providers display the verified logo next to the sender's name in the recipient's inbox. This strengthens brand recognition and provides a visual incentive for organizations to adopt strict email authentication policies.
A BIMI record is published as a TXT record at default._bimi.<domain>. It requires three tags: v=BIMI1 (version), l= (HTTPS
URL to an SVG Tiny 1.2 logo), and optionally a= (HTTPS URL to a
Verified Mark Certificate). The logo must be square, use SVG Tiny 1.2, and contain
no scripts or animations.
BIMI requires the sending domain to have a published DMARC record with an
enforcement policy of p=quarantine or p=reject.
A policy of p=none does not satisfy the requirement. For broader
mailbox provider support, a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) from a qualified
Certificate Authority like DigiCert or Entrust is recommended.
